Dr. KB Jain completed his MS from Amritsar Medical College in 1985. He subsequently worked in Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences where he become the head of the surgery department in 1988 till he left the hospital and joined Health City in 2016. He is full time consultant at Health City where he has established laparoscopic surgery unit, also known as minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Jain has to his credit the highest number of surgeries in the state and heads the department of general and minimal Access Surgery in Health City. The hospital constitutes advanced technology for open surgery and latest HD camera system from Karl Storz for laparoscopic surgeries are performed laparoscopically at Health City including gallbladder, appendix, hernia, uteras, ovaries, spleen and intestines amongst others.

Post M.S. Experience

1. Joined as Registrar in January, 1986 in Surgical Dept. of Vivekananda Polyclinic & Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow.
2. Promoted as Medical Officer in March, 1987.
3. Promoted as Senior Medical Officer in September, 1987 in Surgery Dept. and held independent charge of a Surgical Unit and carried out all surgical operations, elective as well as emergence.
4. Promoted as SPECIALIST IN SURGERY in December, 1988.
5. Continuing in the same Hospital since then. Now holding the position of Head Dept. of Surgery since Jan. 2000.
6. Trained in Upper & Lower G.I. Endoscopy in 1992 at Chennai under Prof. B.K. Rau.
7. Trained in Laparoscopic Surgery under:
   Prof. Dr. Harbilas Rai, Amritsar.
   Dr. Pradeep Chowbey, New Delhi
8. Incharge of Laparoscopic Surgery Unit in Shekhar Hospital Pvt. Ltd.
9. Started Laparoscopic surgery in July 1996. Done more then 10,000 Lap surgeries till date which include surgery of Gall Bladder, Appendix, all hernias, Uterus, Ovaries, Fundoplication, Hemicolectonies.
10. From January 2005 has become a GUIDE for DNB SURGERY Course in Vivekananda Polyclinic Institute of Medical Sciences
11. Left VPIMS in Aug 2016 to join Health City as full time Consultant.
